When does Twitch pay you? Around the 15th, for the month before

The dates for the next six cycles, what your payout status means, and which date to trust when Twitch's own pages disagree

The 15th is the usual date, not a guarantee. This guide puts each deadline Twitch mentions on one calendar and marks what is calculated, what is quoted and what is unknown.

In one minute: Twitch pays on or around the 15th of each month, for what you earned in the previous month.[1] Your balance must be over $50, or $100 by wire transfer, and your account must be payable.[1] Money usually lands 1-5 days after that, though a check takes longer and one Twitch line says around 10 business days.[1] Below the minimum, the balance rolls over.[3] The contract allows up to 45 days after month end, so the 15th is not a guarantee.[5]

  • ~15this when payouts usually go out, for revenue from the previous calendar month.
  • $50is the minimum for most methods. Wire transfer needs $100.
  • 45 днейis the outer limit after month end in Twitch's contract.
  • 25this the last day to fix details after a missed payout, for the next month.

# When does Twitch pay you?

Twitch pays once a month. Its help page says "Partners and Affiliates are paid on or around the 15th of each month", as long as your balance, payout details and status all qualify.[1] The money you get on that date is from the previous calendar month. Twitch's wording is "Revenue earned within the current calendar month is not eligible for payout until the following month."[1]

Twitch calls this "a Net-15 payout schedule".[2] Its own example: revenue earned on May 3 is only eligible from June 15, if you meet the threshold.[1] A sub earned on May 31 and one earned on May 1 are therefore paid on the same date. A $250 gift on April 23 is paid with your other April earnings in the middle of May.[1]

Four conditions decide whether you are paid in a given month: the balance is over the minimum, your payout details work, your status is Eligible, and you have chosen to receive revenue as a payout.[1] Sections 5 and 6 cover what to do when one of them fails.

# Twitch payout dates for the next six cycles

This table applies the two published rules to actual dates. The middle column is the usual date from Twitch's help pages. The right column is the latest date allowed by the contract, which says fees are paid "within forty-five (45) days after the end of each calendar month".[5]

When each month of Twitch earnings is dueCalculated by Streamrise on 1 November 2026 from Twitch Help (15th of the next month) and Section 5.1 of the Monetized Streamer Agreement (45 days after month end). These are not dates published by Twitch

The two columns are about a month apart. So a payout that misses the 15th has not necessarily broken the contract. If you budget around Twitch income, plan for the 15th and keep the later date in mind as the outer limit. The contract figure covers the paying of fees. It does not say how often Twitch actually uses the extra time, and the pages read for this guide give no figures on that.

# The dates inside each payout month

The 15th is only one of several dates that matter. Twitch mentions the others on separate pages, so here they are in order for one month.

The 12th explains a common complaint. Your revenue analytics typically update within 24 hours, but "your payout balance updates once a month on or around the 12th of the month".[3] If the balance looks stuck on the 20th, it probably is not broken. It may simply be waiting for the next update. Twitch also warns that a balance is "an estimate of final payout, not a guarantee of settlement".[7]

# How long does a Twitch payout take to arrive?

It depends on the payout method. These are Twitch's figures, counted from the Submitted date in your payout history.[1][2]

Arrival time and fee by payout methodSources: Twitch Help, When Am I Getting Paid? and Payout Details FAQ, read 1 November 2026. Fee table dated 2025/02/14. US creators pay $0.50 for PayPal, and creators outside the US pay the percentage shown
MethodTime from SubmittedFee
PayPal1–2 дней$0.50, or 2.0% up to $20 + $0.25
SEPA / local bank (Eurozone)1–2 днейNot listed in the fee table
Wire transfer1–3 дней$11 US, $16 outside the US
eCheck / local bank1–4 дней$3.75 outside the US
ACH (US)3–5 дней$0.25
Проверить1-2 недели$3

Converting dollars to your local currency adds a fee of "up to 2.5% of the transaction".[2] Creators in eligible European countries who take EUR through SEPA can avoid it.[2]

3-5 days or 10 days?

Twitch gives different totals, sometimes on the same page. Its payout page says "Payout typically takes 3-5 business days from submission date." Further down, it says "Payout processing time typically takes around 10 business days from the Submitted or Paid date".[1] The rejected payout page says "A submitted payment may take up to 10 business days to process after being submitted".[4] The balance page says "Submitted payouts may take up to 5 business days to appear in your bank account".[3]

Twitch has not said which one wins. A sensible reading is to expect the method time in the table and to start worrying only after 10 business days. For a payout submitted on November 16, 2026, that is November 30 if you count weekdays only. A holiday would push it later. Twitch's table note says "It is not necessary to contact Twitch Support to report an issue with a submitted payout until after this period."[1]

# How much has to be in your balance?

The minimum is $50 for ACH, eCheck or local bank, PayPal and check, and $100 for wire transfer.[1] The limit depends on your payout method. It has nothing to do with whether you are an Affiliate or a Partner: Twitch's page applies the same figures to both.[1] Below the minimum, your balance rolls over. In Twitch's example, $20 in April and $90 in May are paid together in mid June.[3]

The test uses your "pre-taxed accrued revenue balance", so the amount that lands can be under $50.[3] Here is an illustration, not a quote from Twitch. Take a $50 balance for a creator outside the US, paid by PayPal, with the full 30% withholding that applies to certain payments to non-U.S. persons.[8] That removes $15, and the PayPal fee on the remainder is about $0.95, leaving roughly $34. A tax treaty or a different method changes the sum. Whether Twitch takes the fee before or after the tax is not stated in the pages read here, and your dashboard is the figure to trust.

To estimate what you are building toward, use the Twitch sub calculator or the ads revenue calculator. The forms and treaty rules are in the Twitch Affiliate Program FAQ.

# Why is my Twitch payout late?

Start with Payout History, not a support ticket. The dashboard has two status panels and a payout table, and each label points to a different problem.

What your payout dashboard is telling youSources: Twitch Help, Payout History Guide and Rejected Payout FAQ, read 1 November 2026

ОплаченоLeft Twitch's processing systemAsk your bank or payment provider
DeferredTwitch could not confirm the payoutExpect it on your next payout, or ask Support
RejectedOften wrong or changed detailsFix details by the 25th

ON HOLD has two meanings. The history guide ties it to "A problem with your payout method details."[6] The rejected payout page says it can also mean an identity check, which needs a government-issued ID and a selfie.[4] The Payout Eligibility panel and Twitch's emails should show which one you have.

If the dashboard looks fine

  • You are counting the wrong month. Money earned this month is not due until the 15th of next month.[2]
  • Payments are on hold by choice. Hold Payments stops payouts until you release them, and "You can release held payouts at any time."[2]
  • Two-factor is off. "To receive payouts, you must have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled on your account."[7]
  • Your earnings are going to Spendable Balance. The contract says that if you have opted in, you are paid only if you have "opted via your dashboard to receive a payout".[5] Moving a balance there is also "a reportable tax event".[9]
  • Some of it is Prime revenue. "Prime subs can take up to 45 days after the end of the month to be processed for payout due to additional required checks."[3] That revenue arrives in the next cycle, so a payout can look short without anything being wrong.
  • You edited tax or payout details mid-cycle. Section 8 explains which dates cause this.

If none of those fit, use Twitch's route: Category, then Partner/Affiliates, then Payouts, then the option for an incorrect amount. Twitch asks for screenshots, dollar amounts and dates.[3]

Pick the count and the window

Streamrise sells Twitch live viewers. Pick the count and window in the dashboard, from 30 minutes to a month, and paste your channel link: no password, no OAuth, no 2FA token. Twitch's help pages call fake engagement and artificial inflation of channel statistics violations of its policies, and the streamer agreement lets Twitch withhold fees from anyone who breaks its terms. Read them and decide for yourself.

# What to do after a rejected payout

Check first that it really is rejected. Twitch says a payout is not rejected unless it is marked that way on your Payouts page.[4] If it is, this is what happens next:

  1. Find the email. It goes to your onboarding address, and the subject contains "Twitch Payout". Check spam as well.[4]
  2. Fix the details. The usual causes are wrong account details, a PayPal receiving limit or the wrong PayPal email.[4]
  3. Beat the 25th. If you missed a payout because of wrong details, "complete your details no later than the 25th of that month" to be eligible for the next month's payments.[4]
  4. Wait for the retry. "Twitch does not resend payments between monthly cycles".[4]

So a payout rejected around November 15, 2026 and fixed by November 25 should be retried in the December cycle. Twitch's two pages describe the timing differently. One says "we automatically retry payments in our next monthly payout cycle".[4] The other says "We retry failed payouts at the end of each month."[6] Asking for a faster payment will not help. Twitch's answer is "There are no exceptions."[4]

Rejections also cost money. The fee table lists an ACH return fee of $11 in the US and $25 elsewhere, and $25 for a returned wire or a stopped check.[2] With PayPal, a payment sent to an email with no PayPal account has a deadline of its own: "PayPal will hold the funds for 30 days before returning them to us".[4]

# How to change payout details without missing a payout

This is where Twitch's pages disagree most. Each line below is live and each gives a different limit.

What Twitch says about changing payout detailsSources: Twitch Help articles and the Monetized Streamer Agreement, read 1 November 2026
ИсточникWhat it saysApplies to
When Am I Getting Paid?"before the 10th of any given month"New details
Payout Details FAQ"made after the 8th of the month"Contact and payment info
Payout Details FAQ"between the 6th and the 15th of the month"Tax or payout edits
Payout History Guide"before the middle of the month"Payout method
Rejected Payout FAQ"take effect immediately"Confirmed method changes
Payout Details FAQ"at least seven days after submission"Payout method
Streamer Agreement"at least 15 business days after submission"Contact and payment info

The strictest of these is the contract's 15 business days. Counted back from the 15th, that lands between about the 22nd and the 26th of the previous month, ignoring holidays. That gives a simple rule that meets every limit above: make changes between the 16th and the 20th of the month, right after a payout cycle starts. This is Streamrise's reading of the published rules, not a Twitch instruction. A change in that window is before the 8th of the next month, clear of the 6th to 15th period, and more than 15 business days ahead of the next payout date.

Two warnings apply. Twitch says "Changing your payout method will render you unpayable until the process is complete."[2] And "Once a payment is Submitted, it cannot be altered or sent to alternate methods."[6] If a payout is already in motion, wait for it to land before you change anything, unless Twitch has told you the details are wrong.

# When you get your first Twitch payout

Your first payout follows the same calendar, with extra checks. You need to be an Affiliate or Partner, because "Only Twitch Partners or Affiliates can receive a payout."[1] You also need completed onboarding, a working payout method and two-factor authentication.[7] Some streamers must verify their identity first.[7] How long it takes then depends on your earnings. A channel earning $15 a month passes $50 in its fourth month and is paid the month after.

Becoming an Affiliate on October 20, 2026 and earning $60 by October 31 means a first payout around November 15, if everything is set up in time. Earning $60 in November means around December 15. If you are still getting there, read how the Affiliate invitation and onboarding work.

Before you qualify, the contract says fees on your dashboard are "only accessible to you via your Spendable Balance for use in making purchases on Twitch".[5] Twitch adds that you can instead let the balance grow and be paid once you reach Affiliate status and the minimum.[9]

# EU streamers: the DAC7 date

If you live in the EU and earn on Twitch, this one has a date on it. Twitch's page says "Complete the interview by November 23, 2026. If you don't complete it by this date, your payouts will be blocked."[10] It describes this as a short interview, done in as little as 5 minutes on a desktop browser.[10]

The same page says Twitch will ask you to re-confirm your tax information "every three years or 36 months", and that payouts are blocked if you miss that deadline too.[10] If an EU payout stops without a clear reason, this is worth checking early, along with a tax interview that may have lapsed. Twitch says the DAC7 interview can unblock your payouts.[10]

# Where older guides no longer match

Twitch changed its minimum in 2022, and a few claims have outlived the facts. Some differences between guides simply come from which Twitch line the writer picked.

Twitch announced "a lower $50 minimum payout threshold — down from $100" in July 2022, with a phased rollout by country.[11] StreamScheme lists "ACH (Direct Deposit): often 1 to 4 days", while Twitch's own table gives ACH 3-5 days.[13][1] Soundstripe says "processing typically runs 3 to 5 business days", which matches one of Twitch's lines and leaves out the other.[14] SirenCY is one of the few guides that points this out, noting that "Arrival times also vary between Twitch's pages."[12]

# The bottom line

Twitch pays around the 15th for the month before, once your balance passes $50, or $100 by wire.[1] The contract allows up to 45 days after month end, so the 15th is the normal date and not a guarantee.[5] If a payout looks late, read the status in Payout History first.[6] Make any changes between the 16th and the 20th, fix a rejection by the 25th,[4] and if you are in the EU, finish the DAC7 interview by November 23, 2026.[10]

# Частые вопросы

When does Twitch pay you?

On or around the 15th of each month, for revenue earned in the previous calendar month, if your balance is over the minimum and your account is payable.

What day does Twitch pay out?

Around the 15th. Twitch does not promise an exact day, and the pages read for this guide do not say what happens when the 15th falls on a weekend.

How long does a Twitch payout take?

PayPal takes 1-2 days from the Submitted date, ACH 3-5 days, wire 1-3 days, eCheck 1-4 days and check 1-2 weeks. Twitch also says processing can take around 10 business days.

Does Twitch pay monthly?

Yes. Twitch pays once a month. There are no weekly or daily payouts, and rejected payments are not resent between monthly cycles.

Does Twitch pay out automatically?

Yes, if you are over the minimum, your status is Eligible and you have chosen to receive payouts. Twitch lists no request step.

What is the Twitch payout threshold?

$50 for ACH, eCheck or local bank, PayPal and check, and $100 for wire transfer. The test uses your balance before tax.

What happens if I do not reach $50?

Your balance rolls over to the next month and keeps rolling until it passes the minimum.

Why hasn't Twitch paid me yet?

Check Payout History. The usual reasons are a balance under the minimum, an ON HOLD status, a missing two-factor setup, late edits to your details or looking at the wrong month.

Why is my Twitch payout balance not updating?

Your payout balance updates once a month, on or around the 12th. Your revenue analytics update more often, so the two can differ.

Why is my Twitch payout on hold?

Usually there is a problem with your payout method, or Twitch needs to verify your identity before a first payout. The dashboard and your email should say which.

How long does a Twitch payout take on PayPal?

Twitch lists 1-2 days from the Submitted date. A PayPal notice can arrive when processing has started, so check Payout History.

Can I get paid early by Twitch?

No. Twitch says payouts are issued around the 15th and that there are no exceptions, even after a rejected payout.
