# The short answer: how gifting works on Kick
A gifted sub is a Kick subscription you pay for and someone else receives. You can give it to one viewer you name, or let Kick hand subs out at random to viewers in the channel.[1] The streamer is paid as for any other sub, and the recipient gets subscriber perks for about a month without having to accept anything.[1][2]
| Question | What Kick says |
|---|---|
| Who receives it | One viewer you choose, or random viewers in the channel |
| Most subs per gift | 500 in one transaction |
| Price per sub | A flat $5. One older article says $4.99 |
| How long it lasts | Typically one month, with no auto-renewal |
| Anonymous gifts | Allowed, says the May article |
| Already subscribed | Cannot receive a gift for that channel |
| Refunds | Non-refundable or limited, depending on the article |
| Which channels | Only channels with subscriptions enabled |

# How to gift subs on Kick, step by step
Kick's two gifting articles describe the start of the flow differently. The August 2026 article starts from the Subscribe button.[1] The May 2026 article starts from a separate Gift a Sub button: "This is located on the user's profile, near the Subscribe button."[2] The rest of the flow is the same. These are the steps from the newer article.
To gift a sub to one viewer:[1]
- Open the streamer's channel page.
- Click Subscribe, then the gift option. Kick's wording is "Click on Gift sub option".[1] If your screen shows a Gift a Sub button next to Subscribe, click that instead.[2]
- Search for the viewer's username, select it and confirm. Kick warns that "Usernames on KICK are exact".[1]
- Complete payment. The recipient is notified that they have received a gifted sub from you.[1]
To gift subs to the community:[1]
- Open the streamer's channel page and click Subscribe.
- Choose to gift subs to the community. The May article calls this "Gift to the community (random subs)".[2]
- Pick how many subs. You can choose a preset amount or enter your own, up to 500.[2]
- Complete payment. "KICK will randomly distribute the gifted subs to Viewers who are currently in the channel and not already subscribed."[1]
Paying. The May article says gifts are paid through Stripe with Mastercard, Visa or American Express, and that Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, Cash App and Amazon Pay are offered "depending on availability in your region".[2] Once the payment goes through, an on-stream alert plays and the streamer's revenue is updated.[2]
Anonymously. The May article answers this in one line: "Yes, you can gift anonymously."[2] Neither gifting article says where the anonymous option sits in the flow.
On mobile. Kick's guide to the mobile app lists "Subscribe to channels (subscription management is done on kick.com — see below)" among the things viewers can do in the app.[12] The guide does not mention gifting at all, and neither gifting article gives steps for the app. If you cannot find the gift option in the app, try kick.com in a browser.
# How much do gifted subs cost on Kick?
Most Kick help pages give one price. The May gifting article: "You pay the subscription cost (flat $5 per sub)".[2] The viewer subscription article: "KICK Subscriptions are a flat $5 USD per month".[3] Kick's international payments article adds that there is no regional pricing, so a gifted sub costs the same in every supported country.[6] One older Kick article, How to subscribe to a channel on KICK, still says "The cost of a subscription is $4.99" and describes a "green Subscribe $4.99 button".[4] The table shows both prices.
| Gifted subs | At $5 each | At $4.99 each | Streamer gets |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $5 | $4.99 | $4.75 |
| 5 | $25 | $24.95 | $23.75 |
| 10 | $50 | $49.90 | $47.50 |
| 20 | $100 | $99.80 | $95 |
| 25 | $125 | $124.75 | $118.75 |
| 50 | $250 | $249.50 | $237.50 |
| 100 | $500 | $499 | $475 |
| 500 | $2,500 | $2,495 | $2,375 |
| 1,000 (two gifts) | $5,000 | $4,990 | $4,750 |
The last column comes from Kick's revenue split article. On a $5 sub, "You receive: $4.75 (95%)", and the other 5% is a processing fee.[5] The guide to how Kick pays streamers covers payouts. 1,000 subs takes two transactions, because one gift is capped at 500,[2] and Kick adds that "There may be additional rate limits applied to prevent abuse" for very frequent gifting.[2]
Tiers. Kick's August gifting article says that if a streamer offers more than one tier, you choose which tier to gift, and "Higher tiers cost more but give the recipient more perks."[1] Kick's viewer subscription article says the price is flat and answers a question on why there are no tiers.[3] Neither article gives a price for a higher tier. The Kick sub badges guide sets out this conflict. If your gift window offers a tier choice, the price it shows is the one you pay.
# Why can't I gift subs on Kick?
Kick's August gifting article lists four problems under "I am having trouble gifting".[1] Its payment troubleshooting article adds the reasons a card is declined, and notes that "Most payment issues come from your bank or card provider rather than KICK itself."[7] Put together:
| What goes wrong | Why, according to Kick | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| No gift option on the channel | The channel does not have subs enabled | Nothing on your side. Only the streamer can enable subs |
| Cannot gift to that viewer | They already have an active sub to the channel | Gift to someone else or to the community |
| Cannot find the user | A typo. Kick usernames are exact | Check the spelling |
| Card declined | Your bank blocked it, a spending limit, or an unsupported card type | Approve it in your banking app or use another card |
| Several declines in a row | Kick blocks further attempts for a while | Wait a few hours, fix the cause, then try again |
| Charged, but no gift | The payment is still processing | Wait 5 to 10 minutes, then refresh |
| More than 500 subs | One gift is capped at 500 | Split it into two gifts |
Sources for the table: How to gift subscription on KICK,[1] How to gift a subscription on KICK[2] and Payment failed or card declined on KICK.[7] On channels without subs, Kick's wording is "The Streamer needs to be a KICK Affiliate or Partner with subscriptions enabled". On viewers who are already subscribed: "You can only gift to users who do not currently have an active subscription to that channel."[1] On card types: "Some prepaid cards, virtual cards, or gift cards do not work for online subscriptions". On repeated declines: "our system may temporarily block further attempts as a security measure".[7]
If you were charged but nothing arrived. Kick suggests waiting 5 to 10 minutes, refreshing the page or restarting the app, logging out and back in, and checking your purchase history. If the purchase still does not show after 30 minutes, contact the Subscriptions Team with your username, the date, time and amount of the charge, and the last four digits of the card.[7] The address on Kick's pages is subscriptions@kick.com.[2][7]
# What happens after you gift a sub
For the recipient. "The recipient does not need to do anything to claim the gift — it activates automatically." They get a notification, the channel's sub badge, its subscriber emotes across Kick and access to subscriber-only chat when the streamer turns it on.[2] "Gifted subs typically last for one month." When the month ends the sub does not renew, so the recipient has to subscribe or be gifted again to keep the perks.[1]
For you. Kick's two articles describe the gifter's reward differently. The May article: "You receive a gifted subscription badge next to your username."[2] The August article mentions "recognition in chat as the gifter".[1] The Kick sub badges guide goes through the gifter badge and the others.
Channel Points. Gifting earns points on the channel. Kick's Channel Points guide lists "Gift a sub" at "300 per gift", with "No limit".[11] Points can only be spent on the channel where you earned them.[11]
The Gift Subs Leaderboard. Kick describes a live ranking of gifted subs in an article updated on October 2, 2026: "The Global Gift Subs Leaderboard shows the top 50 channels on KICK ranked by the gifted subscriptions they've received, updated live as gifts roll in."[10] The count starts again every hour: "The reset happens right on the hour, based on UTC time." A channel in the top 50 shows its rank, such as #7, next to the streamer's name, and "The channel that finishes the hour at #1 gets featured on the carousel for 30 minutes afterwards, as long as they're still live."[10]
# Can you refund or cancel a gifted sub?
Usually not. The May gifting article is flat: "Gifted subs are non-refundable digital content once the transaction completes."[2] The August article is softer: "Once you have gifted a sub and the recipient has received it, refunds are limited." It asks you to contact the Subscriptions Team as soon as possible if you gifted the wrong person or channel, or were charged in error.[1] Kick's refund policy says "For gifted subs and KICKs, refund options are very limited because the recipient has already received the digital content or perks."[8]
The general rule in that policy: "KICK's standard policy is that all purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law." It then lists the cases where a refund may still apply: where consumer law gives you the right (it names the EU and parts of Australia), duplicate charges, charges after you cancelled, purchases made from your account without your permission, and payments that went through while the subscription never activated.[8]
There is nothing to cancel after a gift, because "Gifted subs are one-time gifts and do not automatically renew."[2] Your own subscriptions are different: they renew every month until you unsubscribe in your account settings on kick.com.[3][8][12]
# Where Kick's pages and other guides disagree
Kick's gifting rules are spread across articles dated from May to October 2026, and they do not always match. A price guide on the first page of Google for gifted sub prices adds figures of its own.
| Question | One source says | Another says |
|---|---|---|
| Price of one sub | A flat $5. Viewer subscription article (July 16, 2026) and May gift article | $4.99. How to subscribe to a channel on KICK (May 22, 2026) |
| Where to start | A Gift a Sub button near Subscribe. May gift article | Inside the Subscribe button. August gift article |
| Refunds | Non-refundable. May gift article | Limited, so contact Kick. August gift article |
| Tiers | No tiers, a flat price. Viewer subscription article | Higher tiers cost more. August gift article |
| Ads for recipients | Ad-free viewing where applicable. August gift article | Subscribing does not remove ads. Viewer subscription article |
| Currency | Everything in USD. International payments article (July 19, 2026) | May show another currency. Payment troubleshooting article (May 6, 2026) |
| Tier prices | Tier 2 at $9.99, Tier 3 at $24.99. TriBathon | One flat price, no tiers. Viewer subscription article |
The ads row is the least obvious. The August gifting article lists the recipient's perks as "badges, Emotes, sub-only chat access, ad-free viewing where applicable".[1] Kick's viewer subscription article says "Subscribing does not remove ads on KICK."[3] The TriBathon price guide, dated March 27, 2026 and second on Google for how much is 50 gifted subs on kick on 4 October 2026, says "A Kick sub costs $4.99 and the streamer keeps $4.74" and that "Tier 2 ($9.99) and Tier 3 ($24.99) subs pay the same 95% split".[14] Kick's revenue split article gives the streamer $4.75 on a $5 sub,[5] and its viewer article says the price is flat.[3]
# Gifted subs for streamers: counts, Partner and what Kick pays
Kick's August gifting article says "gifted subs to a channel count the same as any other subscription" and that they count "toward eligibility for the KICK Partner Program".[1] The May article says they do not help with something else: "Gifted subs do not count toward Streamer Achievements."[2] What the Partner program asks for is in the Kick Partner requirements guide.
In your dashboard, "Gifted subs are credited to the gift recipient, not the gifter", so a gifted sub appears under the recipient's name.[9] Kick counts only active subs and lists "A round of gifted subs expired" among the usual reasons for a sudden drop in the count.[9] Since gifts typically last one month and do not renew,[1] a large community gift leaves the count about a month later unless the recipients subscribe themselves.
Viewers can only gift on a channel with subscriptions enabled, which needs Affiliate or Partner status.[1] Each gifted sub pays you like any other sub: $4.75 on a $5 sub.[5] Enough gifts in one hour also put the channel on the Gift Subs Leaderboard, with a rank shown next to your name.[10]
You set the speed and window
Streamrise delivers Kick viewers over a window you set in the dashboard, from 30 minutes to a month, and needs only your channel link, not your Kick password. Kick's Community Guidelines prohibit using bots, engagement manipulation or third-party tools to artificially inflate views, followers or interactions. Read them and decide for yourself.
- 30 min to a month, you set the window
- No password
# The bottom line
To gift subs on Kick, open the channel, click Subscribe, choose one viewer or the community, pick up to 500 subs and pay.[1][2] Budget $5 a sub, and check the amount on the confirmation screen, because one Kick page still says $4.99.[3][4] If a gift fails, check whether the channel has subs, whether the person is already subscribed, and what your bank says about the card.[1][7] Once a gift goes through, treat it as final.
