How to use this tool

4 steps · ~30 seconds

Each step is a single action — no setup, no sign-up. Outputs are client-side; nothing is uploaded.

Step 01

Drop a wide source

Step 02

Position via X / Y / Zoom

Use the numeric inputs (or sliders) to centre your subject. Type a number for exact pixel control, or drag the slider for tactile adjust.

Step 03

Optional brand tint

Layer a brand colour over the whole crop — Twitch purple, Kick green, or StreamRise purple. Adjust opacity 0-100% for subtle or heavy wash.

Step 04

Profile (680×240), server (960×540), invite splash (1920×1080). Upload them to Discord User Settings → Profiles / Server Settings → Overview.

FAQ · methodology & caveats

Frequently asked.

Calculator outputs are estimates. Each Q below names the source data and the assumptions baked in.

What size is a Discord banner in 2026?
Discord uses three banner sizes: profile banner (680×240, Nitro feature), server banner (960×540, requires Server Boost level 2 — 7 boosts), and server invite splash (1920×1080, Nitro server feature). The tool crops one source image into all three at once.
Why does my Discord profile banner look stretched?
Profile banners are 680×240 — an unusual ~17:6 aspect ratio. If your source is a different aspect (e.g. 16:9 from a YouTube thumbnail), the tool covers the target so the longer axis crops. Use the X / Y position and Zoom inputs to centre your subject inside the band.
What's the file-size limit?
Discord caps banner uploads at 10 MB per file (verified May 2026). The byte counter under each preview shows the export size; the 1920×1080 invite splash is the most likely to exceed the cap. Switch to JPG or lower the zoom to fit.
Are animated GIF banners supported?
Profile banner animated GIFs work for Nitro users (full Nitro, not Nitro Basic). This tool emits the first frame as static PNG / JPG. For animated, use an external GIF editor at 680×240.
Is my source image uploaded to your server?
No. All resizing happens in your browser via Canvas API. The source image never leaves your device — no upload, no logging, no analytics on file contents.
