How to use this tool

4 steps · ~30 seconds

Each step is a single action — no setup, no sign-up. Outputs are client-side; nothing is uploaded.

Step 01

Drop a Twitch source

PNG / JPG / WEBP. Wider sources crop into all four sizes cleanly. Ideal: 1920×1080 source so the offline banner is native size.

Step 02

Position via X / Y / Zoom

Use the numeric inputs (or sliders) to centre your subject. Each size shares the same crop offset — tune once, see all four update.

Step 03

Pick PNG or JPG

PNG for lossless / transparency (panels can use transparent PNG). JPG for smaller files when the source is a photo.

Step 04

Download all 4 sizes

Channel info panel (320×100), profile banner (1200×480), profile picture (256×256), offline video banner (1920×1080). Upload via Twitch Creator Dashboard.

FAQ · methodology & caveats

Frequently asked.

Calculator outputs are estimates. Each Q below names the source data and the assumptions baked in.

What size is a Twitch info panel?
Twitch channel info panels are 320×100 px maximum width (height is flexible up to 600 px, but 100 is the recommended default). Design at 640×200 for retina sharpness — Twitch downsamples to 320 wide on display. PNG / JPG / GIF accepted, 2.9 MB cap per file.
Can I make a Twitch panel from this tool without a source image?
Not in this cropper — this tool starts from your image. If you want a theme-from-scratch generator (8 preset palettes, label + subtitle), use the panel-builder mode in the original /free-twitch-panel-size tool. The v2 cropper focuses on the crop-from-source workflow.
What are the other three Twitch image sizes?
Profile banner is 1200×480 (5:2, top of channel page, 10 MB cap). Profile picture is 256×256 (any 1:1 source — Twitch downsamples, 10 MB cap, rendered as a circle in chat). Offline video banner is 1920×1080 (16:9, shown in the player when offline, 10 MB cap). This tool generates all four from one source.
Why does my profile picture look cropped to a circle in chat?
Twitch renders every profile picture as a circle in chat, raids, mod menus, and follower lists. The uploaded source must be square (1:1) — the circle mask is applied at render time. Use the crop controls to centre your subject before download so the circle render lands cleanly.
Is my source image uploaded to your server?
No. All resizing happens in your browser via Canvas API. The source image never leaves your device — no upload, no logging, no analytics on file contents.
