# How to request deletion, step by step
Kick's profile and privacy page lists deletion under "What happens if you delete your account?" and ends that part with a pointer to Support rather than a settings path.[1] The address the page gives for its 24/7 Support Team is support@kick.com.[1] Kick's contact page lists the same address under General Support.[2]
- Do the checklist in Section 2 first. Kick asks you to cancel subscriptions, save clips and withdraw payouts before deleting.[1]
- Write from the email address on your Kick account. Kick's contact page: "For any account-related enquiries, please ensure to use the email associated with your account."[2] If you no longer have that inbox, see Section 5.
- Send it to support@kick.com. This is the Support Team address on the page that describes deletion.[1]
- Include your username and say plainly that you want the account deleted. For questions on that page, Kick asks for your KICK username and a description of what you are trying to do.[1]
- Watch for a reply and answer it. Kick's pages do not describe the next step. Two third-party guides say Support writes back asking you to confirm before anything is deleted.[11][12]
# Before you send it: the checklist
Kick's help page lists three things to consider before deleting: "Cancel any active subscriptions", "Download any clips or content you want to keep" and "If you are a Streamer with a payout balance, withdraw it first".[1] Kick's Terms and refund page add two more points about money. Here is the full list, with the source for each step.
| Step | Why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Cancel every subscription | Kick lists it first | Account settings, Subscriptions |
| Cancel App Store or Google Play subs there too | Kick warns of further charges otherwise | Apple or Google subscription settings |
| Download clips you want | Clips are deleted with the account | Open the clip, click Download |
| Withdraw any payout balance | Kick says withdraw it first | Before the request |
| Spend or accept losing KICKs | Unused KICKs are forfeited | No refund for purchased KICKs |
The details behind the rows. To unsubscribe, Kick's refund page says to log in, go to account settings, open the Subscriptions section, find the channel and click Unsubscribe. It adds: "If the subscriptions were purchased through Google/Apple Pay, they should make sure the subscription is cancelled in the Google Play app/Apple Subscriptions as well".[6] For clips, Kick says "All Clips can be downloaded when viewed." and "Your Clip will start downloading as an .mp4 file."[8] For KICKs, the Terms say: "Except as required by applicable law, any unused Digital Content will be forfeited to Kick upon termination or deletion of your account." The same Terms list KICKs as Digital Content and say "You may not obtain a refund for KICKs that have been purchased."[5]
# What deletion removes, and what Kick may keep
Kick's help center lists four things that deletion "permanently removes": your profile and personal information, your following list, your messages, clips and other content, and your subscription history.[1] Its page on deceased users, which covers deleting an account on someone's behalf, is blunter: "Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone."[3] That page also says what can stay.
| Data | Removed? | Kick's caveat |
|---|---|---|
| Profile and personal information | Yes | Some data may be kept as law or business needs require |
| Following list | Yes | None stated |
| Messages, clips, other content | Yes | Content licences may stop full deletion of public information |
| Subscription history | Yes | None stated |
| Data under a legal hold | Not until the hold ends | Kept while a legal claim is open |
Sources for the caveats. Kick's deceased-user page: "Some data may be retained for a period required by law or for legitimate business purposes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy."[3] Kick's Privacy Policy: "Consistent with our Terms of Service, User Content licenses may prevent full deletion of certain public information." It also says Kick may apply a legal hold that keeps information beyond its usual retention period while a legal claim is threatened or open.[4]
# The privacy route for EU and UK users
Deleting the account and erasing your personal information are related but not the same request. Kick's Privacy Policy gives a separate address for the second: for questions about "reviewing, modifying, or deleting your personal information, including public information", you can contact privacy@kick.com.[4] The policy then lists rights that "you may have" under applicable privacy law, adding "please note that some rights may not be available in some countries".[4]
- Right to erasure. "You have the right, in some circumstances, to require us to erase your personal information without undue delay if the continued processing of that personal information is not justified."[4]
- Right of access and portability. The policy lists a right to a copy of the personal information Kick holds, and in some cases to receive it in a machine-readable format. If you want your data before it is erased, ask for it in the same request.[4]
- Retention under EU or UK GDPR. The policy says that if your data is subject to the EU GDPR or UK GDPR, how long Kick keeps it depends on the legal basis for processing it.[4]
- Identity check. "We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request."[4] Writing from your account email helps.[2]
# Special cases: locked out, teens, a death, streamers
You cannot log in or lost the email. Kick's recovery page says that if you lose access to the email on your account you need to recover it through your provider or contact Kick, and adds: "We strongly recommend recovering your email first if possible, since this is the fastest path back into your KICK account."[9] The recovery address is recovery@kick.com, and Kick asks for details such as your username, the old email and the approximate date you created the account.[9] Getting back in first lets you do the Section 2 checklist and write from the account email.
A parent closing a teen's account. Kick's guide for parents says a parent or legal guardian of an account holder aged 13 to 17 who does not consent can contact privacy@kick.com "to request guidance on account closure", and that Kick may ask for more information to verify the request.[10] For the wider picture, read our parents' guide to Kick.
The account holder has died. An immediate family member or lawful representative can ask Kick to secure or delete the account. To delete, Kick requires "a death certificate or an equivalent government-issued document" at a minimum.[3] Requests go to Kick's Support Team, and Kick says the process can take up to 2 business days.[3]
You are a streamer with subscribers. Withdraw your payout balance first.[1] Kick's subscriptions page, answering what happens when a streamer leaves, says a viewer's sub keeps renewing "until either the user cancels or the streamer deletes the account".[7] Read that way, deleting the account is what stops your subscribers being charged, so do not leave the account dormant if you are leaving for good.
Staying on Kick after all?

- 30 min to a month, you set the window
- No Kick password needed
- Per-order delivery log
# How long does it take?
Kick does not publish a processing time for an ordinary deletion request. The only timeline on its pages is for accounts of people who have died: "Bear in mind that this process can take up to 2 business days."[3] For everyone else, the figures come from third parties.
- RedSocial, describing deleting its own test account, wrote that Support replied asking for confirmation and "reminding you to remove any linked payment methods", and: "In our case, the whole process took about 14 days." It put part of the delay down to its own slow replies.[12]
- Social Age Checker says: "Processing takes days to weeks, depending on support’s response time."[11]
Both are reports, not Kick's word, and the RedSocial one is a single account in January 2025. Answering Support's replies quickly is the one part you control.
# Where popular guides disagree with Kick
Google's first page for how to delete kick account, checked twice on 12 October 2026, mixed a Reddit thread, Kick's help center home page, a YouTube video, a Medium post, a deletion page for an unrelated drink brand called Kick, a RedSocial guide, a deletion-directory listing and a help page for the Kik messenger app. Through web search we also found Social Age Checker's guide, dated October 6, 2026, one of the fuller written guides to deleting a Kick streaming account. Several of its answers go further than Kick's own pages.
| Question | The guide says | Kick's pages say |
|---|---|---|
| What to do first? | Back up data, remove payment methods | Cancel subs, save clips, withdraw payouts |
| Is personal data removed? | Yes, some anonymized data may stay | Some data may be retained; public info may not be fully deleted |
| Can someone reuse the name? | Usually, no guarantee | Not stated |
| How long? | Days to weeks | Not stated, except 2 business days for deceased users |
The quotes behind the rows. Social Age Checker: "Kick may retain some anonymized data per their Privacy Policy, but personal details are removed." and "Usually, deleted usernames become available again, but there’s no guarantee you can reclaim the same one."[11] Kick: "Some data may be retained for a period required by law or for legitimate business purposes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy."[3] and "User Content licenses may prevent full deletion of certain public information."[4] The guide's preparation list does not mention withdrawing a payout balance, which Kick lists by name.[1]
# The bottom line
Deleting a Kick account is a request, not a button. Write to support@kick.com from your account email.[1][2] Before you send it, cancel your subscriptions, in the App Store or Google Play too if you paid there, download clips, withdraw payouts and use up KICKs.[6][5] Expect the deletion to be permanent. Do not expect every trace to vanish: Kick says some data may be kept.[3][4] If your personal data is what you care about, add a request to privacy@kick.com.[4]
